FC Metz or simply Metz, is a professional football club based in Metz, Lorraine. The club was formed in 1932 and plays in Ligue 1, the first division in the French football league system. The famous feeder club has developed players like Robert Pires, Sadio Mané, Frank Ribery, Emmanuel Adebayor, Miralem Pjanic and many others who have gone on to play for European giants such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus,etc. FC Metz have a reputation of a club rooted in the history of French football and are respected in the European circuits as one of the best youth development clubs in the world.

Close to the Luxembourg border, the club is based in the city of Metz, a quaint city in France’s northeastern Grand Est region, with gardens and leafy promenades along the Moselle and Seille rivers. The flamboyant city centre has its own charm and boasts a 5 star hotel where the French National team and PSG have stayed. The academy has programs running for both girls and boys, including school and aspiring university students till the age of 21. Head by former Director of FC Metz, Mr. Denis Schaeffer, the academy aims to spread their footballing knowledge in developing male and female youth and create opportunities for all.
