My Story
Son of an Indian Naval officer and school Principal, Vedaant began playing at 5 years old inspired by his elder brother and avid football enthusiast Siddhant. Soon, he was representing his school, The Shri Ram School - Aravali and Moulsari. Not too long after, he quickly found his feet in the Indian regional and state circuits. He took part in the Subroto Cup, represented the Haryana U13 team and was the joint top scorer for his state during the Nationals held in Jamshedpur. Further, he went on to represent the Gurgaon U17 Team and Delhi U16 State team as a 13-year-old, while continuing to collect accolades while playing for his school in various age groups.
Though his domestic contributions were beginning to gather steam, his heart was always set on a bigger stage - European football. After being offered a scholarship in a local selection, Vedaant found himself at the Youth Friendship Games, an international tournament held in Holland. Here, he was first familiarised with the system of club football and the Youth football system in Europe.
As fate would have it, Mr Benny's and Vedaant's paths crossed - he chose EBSM to begin his journey in Europe in 2013 with French Ligue 1 club, FC Metz. The experience of training and living in a professional set up, with one of the best youth clubs in Europe was unparalleled learning which catapulted his football skills while completing his school. After 2 years in France's youth leagues, he made a switch to the Deutsches Fussball Internat to ply his trade in the Men's divisions in Germany in 2015. Starting in the lower divisions, he rose through the ranks over time in the German divisions, playing for local clubs like SBC Traunstein, DFI, SB Rosenheim, etc. In 2021, Vedaant signed with USK Maximarkt Anif to become the first Indian to play in the Austrian Regionalliga, the 3rd division in Austria. Still playing, he has amassed over 10 years of experience in the Youth and Men’s divisions in France, Germany and Austria as of today. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and fluently speaks German, French, English and Hindi language.
Having gone through the journey of playing in Europe as an Indian player, he is committed to nurturing aspiring and dedicated football players whose talent seeks opportunity.
